Our Appointments Criteria

Landmark OPS utilizes the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria
in order to determine a patient’s need for admission and the
best path forward.

Conditions We Don’t Accept

Patients who meet one or more of the conditions below will unfortunately not be admitted to Landmark OPS for any level of care; if an existing Landmark patient begins to exhibit the below conditions, they will be transferred to an appropriate outside facility:

  1. The patient is actively suicidal, as noted by actual attempts at suicide or if patient endorses detailed, premeditated plan coupled with intent and available means
  2. Needs assistance with any activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.)
  3. Incontinence
  1. Patient demonstrates violent behavior (including verbal or physical aggression) or endorses homicidal ideation towards staff or other patients or has detailed, premeditated plans for such behavior
  2. Patient has either diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health issues severe enough that it will prevent the patient from actively participating in his or her treatment in a residential setting
  3. Patient has an acute, life-threatening illness or condition that requires transfer to an inpatient level of care
  4. Non-ambulatory
